# Meally > Meally is a free recipe-keeper and meal-planner app for iOS and Android that lets you save any recipe in seconds — from TikTok, Instagram, food blogs, or photos of cookbook pages — and cook it in a clean, ad-free interface. Built by an independent two-person team in Czechia. No ads, no subscriptions, no data harvesting. ## What Meally is Meally is a mobile app (iPhone, iPad, Android) for home cooks who want one place for all their recipes. The product has three layers: 1. **Recipe import.** Tap Share → Meally on any recipe URL, TikTok video, Instagram Reel, or photo of a cookbook page. The app extracts the title, ingredients, and steps using AI and saves it to the user's private collection. Imports from 100+ recipe websites including Allrecipes, Bon Appétit, Serious Eats, BBC Food, Tasty, Food Network, NYT Cooking, and most major food blogs. 2. **Recipe organization.** Folders, smart search across recipe names and ingredients, filters by meal type / cooking method / main ingredient, favorites. 3. **Cooking and planning.** Distraction-free Cooking Mode (full-screen, screen-stays-awake, tap-to-check ingredients, real-time servings recalculation), an optional weekly meal planner, and an auto-built shopping list grouped by aisle that works offline at the grocery store. ## Key facts - **Pricing.** Free on iOS and Android. No ads, no subscriptions, no premium tier, no in-app purchases. - **Platforms.** iOS 15+, iPadOS, Android 8+. Same recipe collection syncs across all signed-in devices. - **Languages.** English and Czech. - **Team.** Two people: Martin Carska (founder, lead developer) and Natálie Novotná (social media, content). Independent — no investors. - **Location.** Built in Czechia. Used by home cooks in 30+ countries. - **Privacy.** Recipes are stored in the user's private Firebase Firestore collection scoped to their account. Meally does not sell user data, run ad networks, or share recipes between users without consent. - **App Store rating.** 5.0 stars. - **Founded.** Public launch 2025. ## How Meally compares - **vs. Paprika / Whisk / Mealime:** Meally is fully free with no premium tier, no ads, no data harvesting. The killer differentiator is the easiest possible import from TikTok, Instagram, and photos of cookbook pages — most competing apps either don't support social-media import or require a paid tier for it. - **vs. screenshots-and-bookmarks:** Meally exists for the home cook whose recipes are scattered across screenshots, browser bookmarks, Notes, and Instagram saves. The whole product is designed to consolidate that mess. - **vs. Yummly / NYT Cooking:** Those are recipe content publishers; Meally is a tool for managing the user's own collection (which can include recipes saved from anywhere). ## Pages - [Homepage](https://meallyapp.com/): Full feature overview, screenshots, founding story, and download links. - [Press](https://meallyapp.com/press.html): Resources for journalists and content creators covering Meally. - [Blog](https://meallyapp.com/blog.html): Coming soon — tips on meal planning, recipe organization, and cooking with technology. - [Privacy policy](https://meallyapp.com/privacy-policy.html): How Meally handles user data. - [Terms (EULA)](https://meallyapp.com/eula.html): End-user license agreement. ## Download - [App Store (iOS)](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/meally-recipes/id6757699100) - [Google Play (Android)](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.martincarska.mealplanner) ## Contact - General: info@meallyapp.com - Founder direct: martin@meallyapp.com - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/getmeally/ ## Optional - [Founder LinkedIn — Martin Carska](https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-carska-9901451b7/) - [Natálie Novotná — Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/_natalienov24_/)
